Did you know that this was in the ICQ terms and conditions you agree to by using ICQ?: "In case user is involved in activities deemed to be illegal or criminal, Mirabilis will permit authorized officers of court access to all its available information in order to locate the user and bring him to justice. Users' IP and dynamic IP addresses may be traced for this purpose." Hmmm so just what information do they keep, are they logging every conversation and file you send? Well I know this for sure they know who you know and who knows you. This maybe the answer to the unanswered question: Why is ICQ free?. Is ICQ one big anti-cyber crime against such things as Warez and Cracking which costs software companies millions. How would this affect you? That is up to you to decide. If you happen to be involved in these activities, or just don't want to be monitored, you should discontinue your use of the software for that purpose. Otherwise, live with the risks. Using your nick name and fake info does not protect you either, ICQ knows your IP so they can find your internet account billing address. There is an option for hiding your IP but check out http://www.dark-secrets.com/progenic/ and get IP Sniffer, if this can find someone's IP then how are we supposed to believe its hidden? Oh well its a damn kewl program anyway. This is just my theory. (downloaded from http://zap.to/cyberhack made by the deadman.. you can mail me at deadman99_@hotmail.com)
